Not Done Much

Not much to report this evening.  Not done much in the way of the hat the past couple of nights.  I've been playing my The Sims 3 game the past couple of nights (well, I'm allowed SOME time to myself).

Since the time is now 12:44am GMT it is now New Years Eve.  Don't see too much getting done throughout NYE either.  My 'wee mammy' is coming through to spend New Year with us and I can't be more happier!  It's been 16 years since we last spent a new year together! SIXTEEN YEARS! I'm really excited about it.

There's Vodka and Smirnoff Ice, and Shops Own Brand Baileys (I'm not really as cheap as that normally) and Nik has Cointreau and Dissarono, not that he'll drink it for NYE, poor sod has been told he needs to work and he won't be finished until after 3AM!  I'm glad we didn't get married on NYE all those years ago or we'd never see each other when Hogmany lands on a weekend.... sucks! Would love to set a new date TBH, been engaged for six years on Christmas Day there.  I have my dress [which is now 2 sizes too small for me :'-(], my Tiara [which Nik lovingly bought for me] and a few other bits.  Feeling a bit frustrated now as we don't have the money and nothing has really been mentioned about it.

Oh well.... anyway!

I wish all my readers [if any] a very happy new year and hope all your dreams come true in 2012!

Love coming your way!

Some progress!

Making really good progress with the Cable Hat! Been knitting pretty much all night. It's now almost 2am and have finished for the night.

So far the hat measures 22cm is almost halfway done. Can't wait to finish this!

Boxing Day Chilling Out.

So apart from catching up on the wash loads I've been catching up on my knitting today.  Doing my eldest daughter's hat and I'm about 35% done.

Siobhan's hat, 35% done.

Coming on really well I think.  Hopefully be able to update a bit more later.

Good Day!

Have a brilliant day today! Got good pressies (even a voucher to get a fishy pedicure! *GLEE*), made an amazing dinner with the greatest help from my fiancé and eldest daughter (thanks guys!) and my mother in law even enjoyed herself!

Didn't take pics of the food! Wish I had, it was beautiful.

Done no crafting today... Spent today relaxed after dinner!

Hope everyone else had a good day!

Tiramisu

Ok, so today I made Tiramisu for the first time.... was rather nice actually.  Had to resist temptation for another serving.

I used crushed and chopped milk chocolate chips for topping (improvisation) which gave it a nice texture.  I really must get glass cookware and serving dishes so people can see how beautiful their dish is before they eat it.

Still knitting my eldest's hat... don't see much of that getting done before Boxing Day... so much to over the next three days.  Will post a progress pic of the hat within the next couple days all going well... children are now off school until 9th January and my fiancĂ© is working most of tomorrow and all of Christmas Eve so it's time splitting for me (cleaning, cooking, preparing, spending time with the kids and knitting).

Tick Tock.... it's getting late so I'm going to finish this blog off for now.  If I don't see you all before Christmas Day then please have a very safe and happy one.

Bright Blessings to you all!

New Blog... heh heh

OK!

Hi everyone, my name is Emma and I am 32 years old and live in Glasgow in the UK. I'm a SAHM of 3 children and I love to make things :)

I love cooking and trying out new dishes and techniques and the first times I make a dish is always exciting, nerve wracking and thrilling! I recently learned how to fillet a fish which was quite an experience for me... didn't really see myself ever doing that! Loved it!

At the moment I'm knitting..... LOTS! I seem to have lost my cross stitch bug but at least I'm not sitting doing nothing with my time!

Pictures of my creations (cooking or otherwise) will be uploaded here whether it be progress or completion!

Anyway, off for now, my daughter's hat won't knit itself... CYA!
